Ever wondered why a tuba looks like a tuba or a piano sounds like a piano? Us too! Here’s your chance to design your very own instrument.
Playable Streets and ArtPlay present a fun new activity to explore weird and wonderful instruments created by you! And we’ve scored a special spot for kids of Wyndham to contribute your instrument design genius.
Kids of Wyndham are asked to draw their ultimate instrument, describe how it works and most importantly how it sounds! It can be anything in their wildest dreams!
Simply draw your magical musical creation, take a photo of it on a phone then email the picture.
Your Kidstruments will be turned into interactive musical devices that anyone can play online.
When you have finished your drawing:
- Put the paper on a flat surface that is well lit (maybe near a window) and take a photo of it.
- Email the picture to [email protected] with these details (written in the body of the email):
- The artist’s first name
- The artist’s age
- Your postcode
- The name of your Kidstrument
- A description of your Kidstrument (what sounds does it make?)
Your Kidstrument will then be processed by the Playable Web team and turned into interactive musical instrument that anyone can play at kidstruments.playableweb.com (new Kidstruments are added every Wednesday)
