Now that we are coming into warmer weather it’s important to make sure we are getting outside, soaking up the sun and getting some fresh air.
Exposure to sunlight is thought to increase the brain’s release of a hormone called serotonin. This can really boost our mood and make us feel great! Plus, fresh air helps send oxygen through the blood which allows your lungs to work at full capacity.
So, if you know you you’ll be inside for most of the day, plan to make some time to have short breaks where you can pop outside for fresh air throughout the day.
Oxygen to your brain = more brain power.
We can do some fun things outside, like going for a walk, a bike ride, a picnic with family or friends or even read a book in the garden.
Remember to: wear sunscreen, loose clothing, a hat and drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.
