Sleeping is extremely important. During sleep is when your body can heal and repair you for the next day. Getting at least 8 hours sleep every night can change your day, mood, behaviour, reactions and energy.
Sleep allows us to feel rested, increase concentration, and have more motivation.
Lack of sleep is can be linked to heart disease, Type 2 diabetes, and depression.
If you are finding you are having trouble sleeping you can try some other self-care strategies that help you to relax and wind down such as a breathing video or body scan video, listen to music or even read a book if that helps you to wind down.
