Healthy Mind Mondays: High Intensity Interval Training 

Let’s talk about the benefits of HIIT, also known as High Intensity Interval Training.

HIIT involves short bursts of intense exercise, followed by recovery periods of low-intensity activity or rest.

HIIT has shown to increase your metabolism and can improve oxygen consumption.

What you need: no equipment and no noise! All you need is a small space. 

The routine consists of:

  • 5 exercises
  • 4 rounds
  • 30 seconds on and 30 seconds of rest time 
  • Lunge with kick left & right alternating
  • Mountain climbers
  • Star jumps
  • Alternating knee strikes
  • Burpees 

*It is recommended to not do this type of training every day or for longer than a 20 or 30-minute session. You don’t want over train, hurt yourself or become overly tired. We want you to feel good and get the blood pumping.*
