The premier launch of a new play based on the author’s true story of dealing with the mental challenges and sometimes funny moments of a cancer diagnosis. We all respond differently to life changing news. Millie, a fifty something professional at the peak of her career, is about to find out just how quickly life can change when she’s diagnosed with breast cancer. Millie deals with her shock diagnosis by creating an imaginary friend called Jack.
Jack helps Millie make sense of a world that has been turned upside down. The play, whilst highly entertaining, also offers genuine insights into dealing with long term health issues, like breast cancer.
Jennifer Vuletic from the hit series Wentworth joins Essence actors Alaine Beek and Phil Cameron-Smith to perform this highly energetic play.
Tickets are $35 for adults or $30 for concession /student with $2 per ticket given to Cancer Council Victoria.
Jack & Millie opens 17 February 2021 for two weeks (Wednesday to Saturday evenings only), closing on 27 February. A wonderful night under the stars, held in the outdoor amphitheater at Saltwater Community Centre, Point Cook, in accordance with COVID safe practices.
