Would you like to increase your knowledge of Football (soccer) and learn how to teach Football skills?
This 2-day course is the next step in learning about coaching and the skills/ rules of football. The course focuses on Skill Acquisition of players, split into 4 ‘core’ game skills: Receiving, Striking, Running with the Ball and 1v1.
Participants will learn how to teach skills in a variety of ways to help players to learn them and then apply them in a match situation. This is a mainly practical course with some theory aimed at coaching 9-12 year olds. Minimum participant age 16 years.
Participants will attend both Saturday 13th March and Sunday 21st March 9:00am – 5:00pm
No skills/ knowledge required – you could be:
- a teenager aged 16 plus or a parent looking to help out a coach at your club and want to learn more than the 3 hour MiniRoos coaching course,
- a youth worker, Teacher, group leader thinking about running some Football sessions and wanting some ideas, to increase game knowledge and run regular training
You just need:
An enthusiasm to want to help others learn basic football skills, be active and have fun and be keen to increase your football knowledge.

All attendees are required to book through Football Victoria, check in on arrival, follow all current Victorian government Covid-19 guidelines and to not attend if you have any cold-like symptoms on the day.
